Sliding Dovetails

We’ve been making some solid oak cabinet side sections using spaced vertical staves housed within a frame. The staves aren’t connected but are held tight with a few sliding dovetail sections that keep the verticals all on the straight and narrow before they are lightly fixed with decorative screws. This method of construction allows for plenty of seasonal timber movement and looks pretty nice too!
