Fitted home office - graphite oak, birch plywood and F&B Inchyra Blue.

So much went into this space along with places for the more usual home office bits and bobs. We made customised spaces for a number of our client’s items and hidden cubby holes for computer equipment with cable outlets set into the desk.

There were some nice design details in this project as well, like the open cube cabinets for display items and books. We made an oak ladder to reach the higher cabinets which can be neatly stored on the side wall when not in use.

We used birch plywood for all of the cabinets along with recessed nickel shelving strips and studs for the adjustable shelving. Any exposed edges were lipped in solid oak and given the graphite treatment. All of the drawers were custom made in birch plywood and run on Blum Movento soft close drawer runners.

The solid oak desks were sandwiched between oak veneered panelling, above and below, that hide all of the electrics and cabling. Integrated dimmable spotlights highlight the main working area at the desk.

The installation was a challenge but we got there eventually and the result speaks for itself. We think the tri-tone contrast of the oak, birch and blue/green colour works so nicely.
